Ricky David Patterson, 63, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Services are pending.

Rick was born August 5, 1961 in San Francisco, CA to Garland James and Theresa Padia Patterson. He grew up in Fairfield, California and attended high school at Armijo High School. Rick moved to Brownwood and worked for the City of Brownwood from 2001 – 2012 where he worked in container maintenance and drove truck. He was a huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers and loved Nascar. Most of all, he was a family man. His children stated that no one will ever replace him as a father and grandfather. He loved them, spent time with them and made them the most important thing in his world all the time.

Rick is survived by his daughters, Lanae Jones of Houston, Ericka Patterson and husband, Joshua Breedlove of Brownwood & Crystal Patterson of Brownwood; sister, Vita Patterson of California; brother, Steve Patterson of California; close friend of the family, Vickie Hampton; 8 grandchildren, Ryder, Demi, Hunter, Haley, Jaxson, Deja, Tavion & Shanna; and many friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa Padia and Garland Patterson; mother of his daughters, Deborah Jones; and step father, Bill Nurmi.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Vickie Hampton for her friendship and help with their dad and the help she gave him raising them as kids through the years.

Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
