William Leroy Lawson, age 68, of Brownwood, passed away April 24, 2025 at home. The family will host a celebration of life for William at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 3, at J-R’s Social Club located at 5995 HWY 67/87 Brownwood, TX 76801.
William was born April 28, 1956 in Mills County, to Ben and Susie Lawson. He spent all of his life in the Brownwood area, working as a roofer for over 50 years. He was a hard-working man and taught his children a strong work ethic. In his free time, he enjoyed shooting pool and spending time with friends and family. William loved to cut up and make people laugh.
William is survived by his children, Jeremy Lawson, Jason Lawson, Curtis Lawson and Crystal Negrete; his siblings, Teresa Tiner and spouse Bruce, Clarence Reeves, Mike and Iris Turner, John and Barbara Cassidy, Ben “Bo” Lawson, Donnie and Carol York, Billy Lawson, Wade and Anita Canon, Brian Duke, Frankie Roberts and Ricky Roberts; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and lots of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his step-mother, Grace Lawson; previous spouses, Lisa Crawford and Terri “Missy” Barker; siblings, Johnny Roberts, Jackie Lawson, Belinda Roberts, Betty Forester, Travis Reeves and Mark Lynch.
