Brookesmith ISD issued the following press release:

Five Brookesmith ISD students received a thundering sendoff today from their Mustang supporters. Juniors Caleb Bradley and Ava Hathcock, sophomores Ameriah Balleza, AJ Evans and Brooklyn Haby departed amidst their cheering classmates with a horns-honking, sirens blaring, light-flashing escort from the Brookesmith Volunteer Fire Department and School Resource Officer DeputyScotty Burke. These athletes are on their way to compete in the Regional Spring Meet – Conference 1A Region IV at Seguin, Texas. The meet will take place April 18-19, 2025. Bradlley and Hathcock will compete in the discus, Evans in the 3200 meter run, Balleza in the 200 meter dash and Haby in the 300 meter hurdles and the high jump. The entire community is cheering for them!
