Johnny “Dale” Bond, a man whose life was a tapestry woven with extraordinary tales and genuine heart, made his debut into this world on March 26, 1957, and departed on March 14, 2025. Dale possessed a rare gift for storytelling, spinning yarns filled with adventure, unbelievable achievements, heartbreak, and wholesome life lessons – all of which were rooted in his remarkable life.
Dales journey began with a passion for the rugged terrain of Texas, where he spent countless nights and days “punching holes” into the earth, seeking that elusive “good ole Texas tea.” His hands, calloused and strong, bore witness to the hard work and dedication he poured into every endeavor.
Later in life, Dales mechanical aptitude led him to the skies, where he served as an aviation aircraft mechanic, ensuring the safe passage of those who dared to fly. He eventually returned to his roots, indulging his lifelong love for automobiles by building hotrods and wrenching on cars, transforming metal and machinery into works of art.
Beyond his mechanical prowess, Dale was a man of diverse talents and simple pleasures. He enjoyed crafting unique creations, strumming the strings of a six-string guitar, capturing life’s moments through photography, and embracing a life lived simply. He found joy in the laughter and pitter-patter of children at family gatherings, the pages of a good book, and the quiet satisfaction of a well-deserved drink.
His contagious laughter, infectious enthusiasm, and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dale is survived by his children, Jedidiah Bond, Jennifer Hungerford, and Jered Bond; his sister, Patsy Dudley; his brother, Dewayne Bond; his twin brother, Tommy Gale Bond; and his sister, Michelle Esry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Daniel Bond and Daphne Novada Graves Bond; his brother, Delton Lee Bond, brother Jodie Bond; and his beloved daughter, Joy Desiree Bond.
Johnny Dale Bond’s legacy is one of adventure, resilience, and a life lived to the fullest. He will be forever remembered for his captivating stories, his unwavering spirit, and the love he shared with those around him.
