The American Legion is designated as a non-profit organization. American Legion Post #196 -Brownwood financially operates by Membership Dues, Donations and Fundraising.
Through our fundraising, we give back to our local community and to local Veterans. A few of the ways are: Monetary Scholarships to our local schools, American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary sponsors for Girls and Boys State and Boys and Girls Club of Brownwood.
We have a couple of fundraising opportunities in the near future:
Rifle Raffle: March 29th at the Brownwood Coliseum. Please come by the American Legion Post #196 table and purchase a ticket to win the rifle. The winning ticket will be drawn at this event.
Brownwood Clay Bird Club: April 5th: See the attached flyer information regarding our second annual Sporting Clay Shoot. Contact the Clay Bird Club for information and registration for our event. There will also be prizes presented during the event. Such as a TEXAS FLAG flown over our State Capital Donated by State Rep. Spiller.
I personally want to Thank our community and business community for supporting local Veterans.
