Ella ‘JoAnn’ Hull

Ella “JoAnn” Hull, age 88, of Early, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Brownwood. A graveside service for Ella will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, March 4, at Murray Memorial Cemetery in Carbon, Texas.

JoAnn was born on January 14, 1937 in Carbon to Ella Mae and James Hogan. She married the love of her life, John Henry Hull on September 16, 1961 in Carbon. Ella took pride in being a housewife and raising her 2 sons, John and Monte. She enjoyed puzzles and cooking for her family and friends.

Ella is survived by her sons, John Benham Hull of Early, and Monte J. Hull and wife Maria of Early; 2 grandsons, Jonathan Hull and Jacob Hull, and special friend, Murl Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Hull; brothers, Arvell Hogan, Carroll Hogan, James Hogan, and Bobby Hogan; and sisters, Jimmie Kinnard, Oma Lee Carlton, and Shirley May.
