
The Howard Payne Men’s Golf Team placed 9th overall at the Space City Classic hosted by Gus Wortham Park in Houston, Texas on Monday and Tuesday.
Grant Drummond was the top golfer in the meet for the team, placing T-32nd with a score of 151 (77, 74). Blaine Onick placed T-40th overall with a score of 155 (81, 74).
Mason Guinn shot a 159 (78, 81) which landed him a T-44th overall finish. Following closely behind was Kaden Potter, who placed T-49th, shooting a 161 (71, 89).
Jaxson Hermesmeyer rounded out the Men’s team with a total score of 171 (86, 85) which landed him at a T-51st finish.
The team saw a lot of improvement from previous weeks, with many golfers recording season-low scores.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Bossier City, Louisiana for the Hal Sutton Invitational hosted by The Golf Club at Stonebridge, which is scheduled for March 17-18.
