
Four members of the Brownwood Lions basketball team received all-district honors from the coaches of 6-4A.
Landing on the first team was senior Casey Friebel, while second-team selections included seniors Ross Strasner and Weston Wolf. Receiving honorable mention was junior Durham Brown.
Superlative award winners in the district were MVP Cale Pogue of Brock, Offensive MVP Zeke Niedziela of Glen Rose, Co-Defensive MVPs Colt Matlock of Brock and Cam Singletary of Glen Rose, Newcomer of the Year Eli Paez of Brock and Six-Man of the Year Casen Meeks of Brock.
The rest of the first team is comprised of Stephenville’s Dillinger Thiebaud and Austin Hardin, Graham’s Ty Thompson, Mineral Wells’ Charlie Ramsay, Glen Rose’s Colton Andress and Dawson Miller, and Brock’s Jacoby Boxell and Braeden Pitchford.
Rounding out the second team are Raidan Moody of Stephenville, Brodie Martin and Cooper Corley of Graham, Jaiden Fisher of Mineral Wells, Ryder Ribitzki and Amiyre Reed of Glen Rose, and Alberto Davila and Will McGhee of Brock.
The Lions finished the season with a 14-19 overall record and 1-9 mark against district foes under head coach Will Parker.
