
The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of February 12:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
- SLOW. Water stained; 55 degrees; 0.05 feet above pool. Black bass to 3 pounds are slow on jigs around bait and squarebill crankbaits in 2-4 feet of water. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows in brush piles 10-15 feet of water. White bass are slow to 1.5 pounds on crankbaits and Alabama rigs scattered around the lake. Catfish are slow on cut bait and livers.
- LAKE CISCO
- GOOD. Water slight stain; 49 degrees; 12.64 feet below pool. Despite the cold water temperature the fish were biting. There is less wind in the forecast this week. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.
LAKE COLEMAN
- SLOW. Water normal stain; 50 degrees; 0.42 feet below pool. Largemouth bass are dispersed throughout the lake relating primarily near stumps and boat houses. Crappie are slow with jigs and minnows.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
- FAIR. Water slightly stained; 51 degrees; 23.05 feet below pool. Expect the water temperature to drop this week after a few days with warmer weather. Bass are good with fish to 7 pound possible in 8-18 feet along brush lines on main Lake points and drains with shad patterned jerkbaits, umbrella rigs, swim jigs and some chatterbaits. Some crappie are still deep in main Lake trees around Ranger Cove and in front of Elm Creek where it dumps into The Colorado River. Crappie are suspended in 25 feet hitting primarily minnows. White bass are good on jigging spoons in 25-45 feet of water along main river points from the dam back toward Ranger Cove. Some catfish are up rivers in 8-18 feet with cut shad. Mainly channel catfish but a few blues to 15 pounds have been reported. Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.
LAKE PROCTOR
- FAIR. Water stained; 45 degrees; 0.14 feet above pool. Catfish are good on cut bait. Hybrid bass are good on swimbaits.
