GLEN ROSE – The Glen Rose Tigers scored the first 16 points of the game en route to keeping the Brownwood Lions winless in District 6-4A action while extending their skid to nine games, 83-52, Friday night.
The Lions (13-15, 0-5) trailed Glen Rose (21-7, 4-1) by a 21-2 count after one quarter, closed the gap to 34-24 at halftime, but fell back 61-35 heading into the fourth period.
Casey Friebel came off the bench to score a team-high 18 points for Brownwood trailed by 13 from Weston Wolf, 11 from Ross Strasner, Noah Pyle with four, and Durham Brown and Elias Perez with three points each.
Glen Rose received 19 points from Zeke Niedziela, 15 from Colten Andress, 13 from Camden Singletary and 10 points from Dawson Miller.
The Lions play host to Stephenville (20-7, 3-2) at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday to start the second half of league play.
