Liven up your new year with classes at the Brownwood Art Center at 215 Fisk.

A collage art class, Painting With Paper, is scheduled for Sat. Feb. 8, from 9 am to 2 pm, with instructor Lisa Ward.  Tuition is $45 for BAA members, and $60 for non-members.  You will be creating a practice collage card, and a 9″x 12″ artwork using collage techniques.

Painters can learn Intermediate Techniques for Watercolor with Christine Brisley, starting Feb. 13.  This 3-class series continues on the following Thursdays, Feb. 20 and 27.  All classes are from 1:30-3:30 pm.  Tuition for the series of classes is $100 for BAA members, and $125 for non-members.

Tammie Anderson will be teaching an Introduction to Macrame Plant Hangers Workshop on Wed. Feb. 19, from 1-4 pm.  Tuition is $30 for BAA members, and $40 for non-members.

Reserve your spot for these art classes by registering and paying in person at the Art Center, during regular gallery hours, 2-6 pm, Mon.-Fri. Pay with cash, check, or card.  Please call 325-641-2916 if you need more information about classes.

Ballroom Dancing for Beginners with Bill Bradley continues every Tuesday evening from 7;30-9 pm.  Class fee is $10 per person, due at class time.  Exact change is appreciated!  No pre-registration is required.

There is no dress code, and no prior experience is necessary.  You don’t need a partner either.  Just show up, let Bill show you the steps, and you’re dancing!

For more information about the Brownwood Art Association and Art Center activities and events, follow the BAA on Facebook, and visit the website, www.brownwoodart.net.
