The following are highlights from a few of the games involving local teams at the TexasBank Holiday Classic Saturday:
May Tigers 69, De Leon 32
The TABC Class A No. 15 May Tigers improved to 17-1 on the season with their 16th consecutive victory, 69-32 over De Leon Saturday night in the Boys Bronze Bracket championship game of the TexasBank Holiday Classic.
May led 15-3 after one quarter, 29-15 at halftime, and 41-25 through three frames.
Tournament MVP Brody Stice paced the Tigers with 22 points trailed by 21 from Kobey Morris, 12 from Jackson Lusk, seven from Ben Harrell, four from Kaden Watkins and two points from Tyran Perry.
Leading the way for De Leon was Christian Gilder with nine points and Jake Cooper with eight points.
May returns to the court Tuesday at Gustine in District 21-A action.

Jarrell Cougars 60, Early Longhorns 56
Academy Bumblebees 61, Early Longhorns 41
The Early Longhorns shaved a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to one, but couldn’t complete their comeback as the Jarrell Cougars held on for a 60-56 victory Saturday at the Brownwood Coliseum in Boys Gold Bracket action.
The Longhorns trailed 12-9 after one quarter, 27-18 at halftime, and 47-33 heading into the fourth period. Early used an 8-0 run to start the final frame and closed the gap to 47-41. At the midway point of the fourth, the Longhorns trailed 51-47.
Then, with 1:21 left in the contest, a three-pointer by Andrew Reedy brought the Horns within three, 55-52, and Cooper Shults stole the inbound pass and sank a layup to cut Jarrell’s lead to 55-54 with 1:12 to go.
At the other end, Jarrell’s JJ Fitch recorded a bucket and was fouled, sank the free throw, and Early was also called for a technical foul. When all was said and done, Jarrell led 59-54 with 48 seconds left and held on from there.
The Longhorns received 18 points from Reedy, 14 from Shults, nine from Zack Rumfield, seven from Weston Barton, and two points each from Sam St. Ama, Camden Myers, Ian Desai and Rhett Williams.
Fitch led Jarrell with 14 points trailed by William Rolon with 12, Nico Rodriguez with 11, Joseph Henderson with eight, Hayden Dotson and Ross Vrabel with five each, CJ Peralta with three, and Justin Murphy with two points.
In their tournament finale Saturday night, the Longhorns were dealt a 61-41 loss by the Academy Bumblebees at Warren Gym.
Early was down 15-14 after one period, 23-17 at halftime, and 45-23 after three quarters.
Scoring for the Longhorns were Barton with 12 points, Rumfield with nine, Williams and Shults with four apiece, Reedy and Desai with three each, and Myers, St Ama and Watkins with two points apiece.
Academy was sparked by 18 points from Issac Stevens, 14 points from Josh Mann and 10 points from Jayvion White.
The Longhorns are off off until Friday when they visit Eastland in District 8-3A action.

Zephyr Bulldogs 47, Bangs Dragons 30
In their final action of the TexasBank Holiday Classic Boys Bronze Bracket, the Zephyr Bulldogs knocked off the Bangs Dragons, 47-30.
Zephyr opened an 11-4 advantage after the initial period that stood at 21-13 at halftime and 34-19 heading to the final quarter.
The Bulldogs were led by 12 points from Wyatt Stevens, 10 from Hunter Davidson, six from Ethan Byers, five each from Reese Hamm and Spencer Marwitz, four from Bauer Blair, three points from Cash Whisenhunt, and two points from CJ Byers.
Ryan Alqorum scored a team-high 12 points for the Dragons trailed by six each from Aden Jones, Braxton Wommack and Will Hinds.
Zephyr heads to Baird at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for non-district action, while Bangs resumes District 8-2A competition at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at Roscoe.
