The following are highlights from a few of the games involving local teams at the TexasBank Holiday Classic Friday:
Early Lady Horns 44, Goldthwaite Lady Eagles 40
Early Lady Horns 47, Huckabay Lady Indians 46
The Early Lady Horns were victorious in their final two games at the TexasBank Holiday Classic Friday to finish the tournament with a 3-1 record.
In a 44-40 victory over Goldthwaite, Early led just 19-18 at halftime but used a 15-1 run to start the second half and opened a 34-19 advantage. Goldthwaite crept within a bucket, 39-36, with 2:42 left, but the Lady Horns scored the next four points to ice the contest.
Aliyah Harlan and Jaime Vassar each scored 14 points to pace Early trailed by five apiece from Andie Simpson and Avery Williams, and three points each from Gabby Benson and Cali Vargas.
Goldthwaite received 16 points from Rylee Greenway, eight from Jemma Williams, six from Lanna Gore, six from Kenley Howard and four points from Addisyn Howard.
In the 47-46 triumph over Huckabay, Benson scored a team-best 13 points followed by Williams with nine, Simpson with seven, Harlan with six, Vargas and Vassar with five each, and Sydney Greaves with two points.

May Tigers 72, Zephyr Bulldogs 32
May Tigers 43, Bartlett Bulldogs 41
The May Tigers qualified for the Boys Bronze Bracket championship game of the TexasBank Holiday Classic with a pair of victories Friday.
In the 72-32 win over Zephyr, May led 15-6 after one quarter, 41-15 at halftime and 57-27 through three frames.
Brody Stice scored 22 points for May followed by 15 from Ben Harrell, 14 from Kobey Morris, six from Jackson Lusk, and five points each from Tyran Perry, Kaden Watkins, and Mikey Scheriger.
Zephyr received nine points from Spencer Marwitz, six from Cooper Walls, five from Wyatt Stevens, four each from CJ Byers and Reese Hamm, and two points apiece from Bauer Blair and Hunter Davidson.
The Bulldogs face Bangs at 10:40 a.m. Saturday at the Brownwood Middle School in their final tournament game.
In the 43-41 win over Bartlett, May was in front 13-11 after one period, 25-17 at the break, and 30-25 heading into the last quarter.
Morris poured in 16 points for May followed by seven each from Lusk and Harrell, six from Stice, five from Watkins and two points from Perry.
Tristen Evans, Tony Palomo and Sean Benevides led Barlett with eight points each.
The Tigers (16-1) will face De Leon at 6:40 p.m. Saturday at Warren Gym in the Boys Bronze Bracket championship game.

Zephyr Bulldogs 56, Richland Springs Coyotes 55
Bartlett Bulldogs 54, Richland Springs Coyotes 51 (OT)
The Richland Springs Coyotes suffered a pair of losses at the TexasBank Holiday Classic Friday by a total of four points, and one required an extra period.
In a 54-51 overtime loss to Bartlett, the Coyotes trailed 29-16 at halftime and closed the gap to 38-37 after three quarters. Richland Springs then witnessed Bartlett score the first 10 points of the fourth quarter and trailed 48-37 with 4:53 to go.
Richland Springs rallied and grabbed a 49-48 lead with 61 seconds left on a bucket by Cohen Ethridge, but Bartlett forced overtime hitting one of two free throws with six seconds left.
EJ Aviles scored 19 points for Richland Springs followed by Eli Hutchins with 10, Ethridge with nine, Ethan Deeds with eight, and Hutton Rogers with five.
Against Zephyr, the Coyotes trailed by seven heading into the fourth quarter and grabbed a 55-54 edge with 34 seconds to go on a trey by Rogers.
But Zephyr’s Ethan Byers was fouled with 16 seconds left and sank both free throws to push the Bulldogs back in front.
Rogers finished with 21 points trailed by Deeds with 13, Aviles and Troy Kubin with eight apiece, and Ethridge with two points.
The Bulldogs were led by 19 from Ethan Byers, nine from Wyatt Stevens, eight from CJ Byers, six each from Austin Davidson and Cooper Walls, five from Spencer Marwitz, and two points from Reese Hamm.
The Coyotes face the Brownwood JV at 8 a.m. Saturday at Brownwood Middle School to conclude tournament action.

Goldthwaite Eagles 69, Coleman Bluecats 47
The Goldthwaite Eagles secured a 69-47 victory over the Coleman Bluecats Friday in Boys Silver Bracket action at the TexasBank Holiday Classic.
Goldthwaite led 16-8 after one quarter, 39-17 at halftime and 59-34 after three periods.
The Eagles received 20 points from Luke Sanderson, 16 from Aidyn Lee, 11 from Talen Gardner, seven from Owen Campbell, six from Hayes Greenway, three from Wilson Grebe, and two points each from Landry Sanderson, Gage Sparks, and Isak Rainlend.
Coleman’s scorers were Hunter Edington with 11, Kelan Sikes with eight, Anthony Espitia with five, Jett Black with four, Cutter Cody and Lucyian Sanchez with three apiece and Jayden Smith with two points.
The Bluecats face Comanche at 9:40 a.m. Saturday at Brownwood Middle School and the Eagles square off with Santo at noon Saturday at Warren Gym in their final games of the tournament.

Ozona Lady Lions 46, Richland Springs Lady Coyotes 41
The Richland Springs Lady Coyotes were unable to hold a second-half lead in a 46-41 loss to Ozona Friday in the Girls Small School Bracket of the TexasBank Holiday Classic.
Tied at 10 after one quarter, the Lady Coyotes were ahead 23-18 at halftime and 32-31 heading into the fourth period.
The Lady Coyotes received 18 points from Calyn Kubin, 17 from Flora Appleton, four from Paige Bailey, and two points from Amarrea Thomas.
For Ozona, Avery Davidson paced the attack with 19 points trailed by Aaliyah Renteria with 14 points.
Richland Springs will meet Gorman at noon Saturday at the Brownwood Coliseum in its weekend finale.
