BURNET – The Brownwood Lions suffered a second consecutive defeat on the basketball court Monday night as they dropped a 61-45 decision at Burnet.
The loss marked just the second time this season the Lions have dropped games in succession.
Brownwood fell behind 19-7 after one period, trailed 32-18 at halftime, and faced a 48-30 deficit after three quarters.
Ross Strasner scored 20 points for the Lions along with 14 from Casey Friebel, four from Braeden Stacks, three from Elias Perez and two points apiece from Noah Pyle and Weston Wolf.
The Lions (11-6) play their final game before the TexasBank Holiday Classic Dec. 26-28 as they visit the Brady Bulldogs Friday afternoon.
