Ricky G. Egger, age 68, of Buchanan Dam, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024. The family will hold a time of visitation on Friday, December 13, from 6 to 8 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, December 14 at 10 AM, at Ebony Cemetery in Mills County.

Ricky was born on August 13, 1956 to W.C. and Lila Egger, in San Angelo, Texas. He grew up in Brownwood and worked alongside his family at Egger’s Painting and Remodeling the majority of his life. Ricky enjoyed being outdoors deer hunting and fishing. He was good with his hands and liked restoring cars and boats back to their original beauty. Most of all, Ricky loved spending time with his family and friends, no matter what they were doing, just being together.

Ricky is survived by his daughter, Diana Marie Egger; siblings, Willie David Egger, Brenda Helmer, Norma Egger and Jimmy Egger; grandchildren, Kendra Gimbert, Riley Martinez and Delilla Martinez; 5 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, W. C. Egger and Lila Matheny Egger; his sons, Ricky and Cody Egger; his brother, Roger Egger and his sister, Barbara Rainey.
