Early Lady Horns 60, Millsap 30
MILLSAP – The Early Lady Horns strolled to a 60-30 victory in their District 8-3A basketball opener at Millsap Tuesday night.
The Lady Horns improved to 8-8 overall this season and 1-0 in league play as Aliyah Harlan led the charge with 15 points followed by Andie Simpson with 12 and Gabby Benson and Jamie Vassar with 11 points apiece.
The Lady Horns are back in action at 6:15 p.m. Friday as they welcome Peaster in their first home district contest.

May Tigers 61, Newcastle 30
NEWCASTLE – The May Tigers improved to 7-1 on the season with a 61-30 road victory over Newcastle Tuesday night.
The Tigers led 20-8 after one quarter, 34-14 at halftime, and 51-23 heading to the fourth period.
Mikey Scheriger scored a team-high 11 points for May trailed by eight each from Kobey Morris and Lane Goodson, seven apiece from Jackson Lusk and Brody Stice, five from JD White, four each from Ben Harrell, Kaden Watkins and Tyran Perry, and three points from Wyatt Hardy.
May opens play in the Zephyr tournament Thursday as it battles Gorman.

May Lady Tigers 60, Santa Anna 31
MAY – The May Lady Tigers ran their win streak to three games with a 60-31 home victory over Santa Anna Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers (5-8) were in front 23-7 after one frame, 40-14 at the break, and 56-21 heading to the final quarter.
Scoring for May were Chloe Lord with 18 points along with Jordyn Gerhardt with 13, Mia Musick with 11, Bekah Roberts with six, Kenlyn King with five, Cortney Harper with four and McKenna Landes with three points.
The Lady Tigers will face Sidney at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jonesboro at 10:30 a.m. Friday, and Zephyr at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Zephyr tournament.

Blanket Tigers 55, Strawn 32
STRAWN – The Blanket Tigers secured a 55-32 non-district road victory over Strawn Tuesday night.
The Tigers jumped out to a 17-6 lead after one quarter, which grew to 24-14 by halftime and stood at 37-24 heading into the final period.
Blanket’s attack was paced by the 17 points of Kannon Kensing, 16 from Mason Beck, 13 from Dallas Shumaker, five from Cameron Aultman, three from Camden Sledge, two from Alex Valdes, and one point from Cole Furry.
The Tigers will next compete in the Rising Star tournament Thursday through Saturday.
