It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lesia Gayle Teague, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, and friend, who passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 59.

Graveside services will be held for Lesia at 2:00 PM Friday, December 6th, at Resthaven Cemetery, located at 620 US-87, Brady, TX 76825, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Lesia was born on December 21, 1964 in Abilene, Texas to Franklin and Juanita Montgomery. She grew up in Merkel, Texas, and attended Merkel High School. She met the love of her life, Floyd Teague, Sr., in 1982, and together they built a life filled with laughter and love. Lesia was known for her playful spirit and enjoyed bringing joy to those around her with her quick wit and love for jokes. She had a knack for stirring up fun, whether it was through spirited food fights or playing Candy Crush on her phone. Lesia was a homebody and home was her favorite place to be. Her love and connection to her family were the cornerstones of her life, and she was ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Lesia was a doting grandmother, always eager to listen to her grandchildren’s stories and play along with them. She truly loved being their babysitter, spending precious moments pampering her granddaughters with makeovers and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Lesia is survived by her son, Floyd Teague Jr of Thrifty, TX; daughters, Laura Combs and husband Larry of Blanket, TX, Pamela Kirby and husband Joshua of Trinity, Alabama; step-daughters, Jenny Garcia and husband Juan of Abilene and Bessie Hollar and husband, Dickie Jones of Abilene; sister, Mary Ocon and husband Ricky of Abilene, TX; stepmom, Nita Montgomery of Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Ethan, Collin and Abby Combs of Blanket, TX, Jesse and JD Kirby of Trinity, Alabama, Dennis and Floyd Teague III of Menard, TX; cousin, HC Jowers of Brady, TX; and numerous friends.

Lesia was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Teague Sr.; parents, Franklin “Tubby” Montgomery and Juanita Montgomery; her son, Denny Franklin Teague.

Lesia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit of kindness, humor, and unwavering commitment to family will forever remain in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heartland Funeral Home to assist them with services due to the unforeseen and early nature of Lesia’s passing.
