June Saverance Ewing was born on February 13, 1934, in Shep, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, at Songbird Lodge in Brownwood, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
June’s life was rooted in devotion to her family. She held the most vital role of wife and mother, taking great care of her children and maintaining a warm home filled with love and laughter. June was a proud graduate of Eula High School in 1952 and furthered her education at Draughn’s Business College. Her commitment to family values was evident as she supported her children and extended that love to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, encouraging them in all their sporting endeavors.
A woman of rich interests, June cherished traveling and the thrill of discovering new places. She passionately enjoyed quilting and gardening, activities that allowed her to express her creativity and nurture the beauty around her. June found joy in games, being particularly skilled at playing 42. Her fun-loving nature was infectious, and she greeted everyone with a smile, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
June was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, a community that nurtured her spirit throughout her life. Her kindness and generous heart were evident to all, and she built strong relationships that enriched her life.
She is survived by her husband, Carrol Ewing of Coleman; three daughters, Becki Sadler of Tuscola, Patti Gibson and husband Steve of Tuscola, and Chrissi Hail and husband James of Coleman. June was proud of her grandchildren: Cody Sadler and wife Monique, Marca Milford and husband Brian, Seth Gibson and wife Jill, Macy Pope and husband Patrick, Kassi Smoot and husband Doug, Lexi Stephens, Caleb Hail and wife Shanley, Caitlyn Mosely and husband Tye, and Ryan Finlay. Additionally, she adored her great-grandchildren, Kambri Smoot, Landri Smoot, Carson Gibson, Bliss Pope, Gibson Pope, Brazos Smoot, Arbor Stephens, Axle Stephens, Hudson Hail, Slade Pope, Hampton Hail, Banks Mosely, and Beckham Mosely. June is also survived by her sister, Sue Key of San Saba.
In her passing, June joins her parents, Loy Jackson and Edna Talley Jackson; her former husbands, Arlie McMillan and Marshall Saverance; and her granddaughter, Kami Sadler. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation held at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman, on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. June’s radiant spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who loved her.
