MAY – The May Tigers basketball team dropped a nail-biter to Breckenridge Friday night, falling at home by a 51-50 count.

The Tigers (1-1) led Breckenridge 15-11 after one period, and 20-16 at halftime, but fell behind 36-31 after three quarters.

Scoring for May were Kobey Morris with 14 points, Kaden Watkins with 12, Brody Stice with 11, Cayson Dail with six, Tyran Perry with four, Mikey Scheriger with two, and Lane Goodson with one point.

The Tigers visit Comanche at 7:15 p.m. Monday.

Ballinger 36, May Lady Tigers 31

MAY – The May Lady Tigers slipped to 2-4 on the season with a 36-31 home loss to Ballinger Friday night.

May trailed 8-7 after one quarter, grabbed a 19-17 halftime edge, and fell behind 29-25 through three periods.

Jordan Gerhardt scored 13 points for the Lady Tigers followed by McKenna Landes with eight, Mia Musick with six and Chloe Lord with four points.

The Lady Tigers next host Hawley at 11 a.m. Monday.
