BENBROOK – Coming off a 14-point victory over Dublin in Tuesday’s basketball season opener, the Brownwood Lions were unable to piece together a win streak as they dropped a 68-51 decision to Benbrook Friday night.
The Lions (1-1) trailed 21-9 after one quarter, 37-13 at halftime, and 48-31 heading into the fourth period.
Brownwood received 21 points from Casey Friebel, 11 from Ross Strasner, eight from Bennett Windham, six from Noah Pyle, and four points from Elias Perez.
The next action for the Lions takes place at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday as they host Early in their first game at Warren Gym this season.
