Brown County’s, Kayli DeVusser has been in San Antonio since Wednesday competing at the National Sporting Clays Championship.
After punching her ticket out of B Class at the South Central Regionals in September, Kayli went to Nationals vying for the National A Class title.
The NSCA (National Sporting Clays Association) consists of classes; Master, AA, A, B, C, & D. All new members start in D class. Shooters must earn a certain amount of punches by placing in registered shoots to advance to the higher class.
After a rocky start to the 4 day main event on Thursday, Kayli was able to battle back and climb the rankings by Sunday afternoons round.
Kayli’s 2024 National Championship outcome:
- 2nd Place Class A Lady
- 1st Class A Sub Jr Lady Champion
- 1st Class A Sub Jr Champion
- 1st Class A Red Course Champion
- 1st Class A Orange Course Champion
- 3rd Class A Ladies Open
As a 15 year old, this next shooting season will be Kayli’s last year at a shot at the Sub Jr All American Team. She will be traveling around the USA for the Championship Tour which will conclude next year in San Antonio at the 2025 National Championship.
