Brownwood High School (BHS) has announced the 2024 Homecoming Court. Queen nominees are Kamila Ramos, Kate Tindol, and Peyton Pena. King nominees are Julius Lara, Alden Cecil, and Braeden Stacks. The Homecoming Court includes Juniors Lanie Johnson and Aaron Edmonds, Sophomores Maitlyn Esquivel and Jaxson Delgado, and Freshmen Alyssa Altstatt and Caden Wilson.
The Queen will be announced and crowned at 7:00 p.m. before the 2024 Homecoming/Pink Out game on Friday, October 25, as the Lions host the Burnet Bulldogs at Gordon Wood Stadium.
BHS HOMECOMING QUEEN NOMINEES:
Kamila Ramos
Kamila Ramos is the daughter of Mari Cerada and sister to Natalia Ramos. Kamila is a 3-year member of the Lionettes Drill Team and is currently serving as the captain. She holds the treasurer position of HOSA, and is an active member of National Honor Society. She is currently working at Chick-Fil-a and enjoys her time working there. Post graduation, Kimila plans to attend college and nursing school to pursue a career as an E.R. Nurse.
Kate Tindol
Kate is the daughter of Jason and Amy Tindol. She is an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, First Baptist Church, and Coggin Youth. Kate is a four-year varsity member of Lady Lion Cross Country and Track, and a three-year member of Lady Lion Basketball. Upon graduation, Kate will be pursuing a career in Liberal Arts.
Peyton Pena
Peyton is the daughter of Ryan and Lerin Pena. She is a four-year Brownwood High School varsity softball player, and a varsity volleyball player. This is Peyton’s second year as a BHS varsity cheerleader and she is also the cheer captain! In the summers Peyton works as a lifeguard. Peyton will be attending Austin Community College in Round Rock to pursue her academic degree as a Radiology Technician. Peyton is grateful for all the memories and life-long friendships she has made as a Brownwood Lion.
BHS HOMECOMING KING NOMINEES:
Julius Lara
Julius is the son of James and Julie New and Ronnie and Misty Lara. He is a captain for the Varsity Brownwood Lions Football team. After high school, Julius plans to attend Tarleton to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Last year Julius made it to regionals in Powerlifting. Julius loves Brownwood High School.
Alden Cecil
Alden is the son of Amy and Jeff Cecil. He is a two-year member of the Brownwood High School Cheer Team and is currently Cheer co-captain. Alden also serves as vice president of the theater department and he is involved in BHS choir. In addition, he has been involved in student council. Alden plans to attend Texas State University so he can study communications and marketing. Alden is so grateful for the opportunity to be on the homecoming court, especially with a couple of his closest friends.
Braeden Stacks
Braeden is the son of Derrick and Alicia Stacks and the grandson of Wayne and Peggy Creed and Randall and the late Linda Stacks. Braeden is active in church and loves Jesus. He is also active in National Honor Society and Varsity football, basketball, and has run track all four years. Braeden has worked at Clark Ranch in the summers and for Jerry Don Gleaton with CABC Flag Football League. He has greatly enjoyed mentoring Little Lions, especially his Carter and Eli the last two years. Braeden loves football and is so thankful for all of the amazing friendships and memories. He loves and will miss BHS, his teachers, teammates, friends and the community support, which is like no other place anywhere. Braeden has been accepted to Texas A&M University and is leaning towards a degree in Business.

Freshman Homecoming Princess Alyssa Altstatt
Alyssa the daughter of Daniel and Crystal Altstatt. She plays basketball and volleyball. Alyssa is an honors student with straight A’s. In her free time, Alyssa likes to go to church, spend time with family, play basketball, and hang out with her friends. She attends Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. Alyssa and her three brothers were all baptized on February 18, 2024. Both of Alyssa’s parents work in the medical field and after Alyssa graduates high school she plans to attend college and work in the medical field as well.
Freshman Homecoming Prince Caden Wilson
Caden is the son of Marvin and Amber Wilson. Caden plays football, baseball, and runs track. He participates in Ag. Mechanics and cotton judging. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Caden was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. During the summer he works for Clark Ranch. Caden plans to attend Texas A&M and pursue a career as an attorney.
Sophomore Princess Maitlyn Esquivel
Maitlyn is the daughter of Mathew and Cara Esquivel. She is a BHS Varsity cheerleader and a Varsity Lady Lion softball player. Maitlyn is in the top 10% of her class for academic achievement. She has been awarded Summa Cum Laude. She attends Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and is actively involved in youth group. In her free time, Maitlyn enjoys traveling, shopping and hanging out with friends. Maitlyn’s goal after high school is to attend Baylor University pursuing the medical field.
Sophomore Prince Jaxson Delgado
Jaxson Delgado is the son of Alex and Alyson Delgado. Jaxson is an active member of several extracurricular activities including Lion Crew, Key Club, and HOSA. His involvement in these groups highlights his dedication to leadership, community service, and health sciences. Aspiring to attend the University of Texas at Austin, Jaxson hopes to pursue a career in the medical field where he aims to make a significant impact. His commitment to these activities, and his future goals demonstrate his passion and dedication to succeed.
Junior Homecoming Princess Lanie Johnson
Lanie is the daughter of Doug and Talisha Johnson. She is an active member of Coggin youth, National Honor Society, FCA, and club volleyball. Lanie excels in Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, and Track. While she is still deciding on which college to attend, she plans on majoring in Dental Hygiene. Values such as family, spreading kindness through Christ, and friendships are essential to her life.
Junior Homecoming Prince Aaron Edmonds
Aaron Edmonds is the son of Heather and Ryan Edmonds. Aaron is an active member of Coggin youth, AAU Track, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Aaron plans to pursue his higher education at a college or university where he can continue playing football and running track and aims to earn a degree in Finance or Marketing. Above all, he values being a positive influence on others and is committed to sharing his faith in Christ with those around him.
