EARLY – The Early Lady Horns’ postseason chances received much-needed jolt Tuesday night with a five-set 14-25, 25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 15-11 District 8-3A home victory over the Comanche Maidens Tuesday night.
Early (14-17, 3-7) was led offensive by Jensyn Rasor with 11 kills along with 10 from Aubrie DeVillier, six from Tyley Simmons, five from Karley Smith, four each from Grey Pruett and Jordan Simmons, two from Ellie Shea and one each from Gabby Benson and Cassidy Frerichs.
Pruett also dished out 21 assists trailed by 11 from Frerichs, and one each from Rasor and Jordan Simmons.
Benson, Tyley Simmons and Aliyah Harlan each served an ace for the Lady Horns.
Defensively, Benson registered 29 digs followed by Frerichs and Pruett with 17 apiece, Harlan with 14, DeVillier with 13, Smith with six, Tyley Simmons with four, Jordan Simmons with three, Rasor with two and Shea with one.
At the net, Rasor logged four blocks followed by Jordan Simmons and Tyley Simmons with two each, and Smith and Pruett with one apiece.
The Lady Horns are back in action at noon Saturday as they visit Breckenridge.
