Donna Bee Murray Rodgers passed from this life on Sunday, October 6, 2024. She was born on September 17, 1949, to Vivian (Barnes) and Roy Murray. Donna worked as a hairstylist for J.C. Penny for 14 years. She married Troy Rodgers on February 18, 1995. Donna was known for her outgoing personality and her creativity. She loved quilting, arts and crafts, and ceramics. She was a member of the Lake Brownwood church of Christ.
Donna is survived by her husband Troy Rodgers of Lake Brownwood, five children, Tammy Gleaton Johnson and husband Brock of Early; Cori Gleaton Harmel and husband Jeremy of Jacksonville; Steven Gleaton of Sweetwater, Crystal Rodgers Posz of Marble Falls; and Elisha Rodgers Parker with husband Jesse; numerous grandchildren she held dear to her heart: Graham James Gleaton, Jessica Landry Harmel, Parker Harris Gleaton, Sophie Bee Gleaton (Donna’s namesake), Sydney Linn Harmel, and Carter James Gleaton. Jeremy Johnson with wife Marisa and children Rhys, Kimberly, and Jeremiah; Amanda Gowin with husband Justin and children, Eliott with wife Kinzie and children Juniper and Henry, Elissa, Eathan, Hannah, John Thomas, and Josiah; Thomas Johnson and children Riley, Paisley, Allyson, Sarah, and Emma. Paige Southwell with husband John and children Emily and Carly; Sammy Westerman with wife Heather and children Sawyer and Colt; Christopher Lawson with children Maverick, Colton, Royal, Railey, and Chrystalynn, and Sabra Wetzel with husband Nick; a brother Roy Murray with wife Lynn of Burnet with children Grant Murray with wife Amy and children Rhett and Brooks. Clint Murray with wife Liz and children Dalton, Garland, and Nash; two nieces Angela Bishop with husband Joey and children Caris, and Seth; and Melissa Kay Murray.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur L. Murray of Bangs.
She had much love to give her many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give thanks to the staff at Accell Health and Michael Cloy, M D Anderson Cancer Center, The Walker Cancer Center at Hendrick Medical Center-Brownwood, Solaris Hospice, and Heartland Funeral Home.
