BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons open District 5-2A action Saturday with a 2-11, 25-13, 25-14 home victory over Coleman.
The Lady Dragons (14-13, 1-0) were sparked offensively by Neeley Bradley with 10 kills followed by Ashlynn Sliger and Dyan McCurdy with six apiece, Cameryn Harmon with five, Ava Boren with and Kasey Solis with a pair.
Bradley also dished out 14 assists and Boren contributed 13.
Boren served four aces trailed by Solis with three, Bradley with two, and Julianna Ethridge, Kylee Byler and Cloey Petty with one apiece.
On the defensive end, Ethridge tallied nine digs followed by Boren with seven, Petty, Bradley and Justice Baker with four apiece, Byler and Harmon with two each, and McCurdy and Sliger both with one.
At the net, Solis notched two blocks and Bradley, Harmon and Boren each collected one.
Bangs is next in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hico.
