BRONTE – In their final match prior to the start of District 5-2A volleyball action, the Bangs Lady Dragons fell in straight sets against the Class A No. 16 Bronte Lady Longhorns, 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 Tuesday night.
Bangs (13-13) received eight kills from Neeley Bradley, five from Cameryn Harmon, two each from Kasey Solis and Ava Boren, and one apiece from Justice Baker and Ashlynn Sliger.
Bradley and Boren both logged seven assists with Solis contributing one.
Solis’ three aces were a team-high followed by two from Bradley and one from Boren.
Defensively, Baker tallied eight digs trailed by five from Boren, four from Cloey Petty, three from Julianna Ethridge, two apiece from Bradley, Solis, and Harmon, and one each from Kylee Byler and Dyan McCurdy.
Bangs did not record a block against Bronte (18-10).
The Lady Dragons open district action at noon Saturday as they host Coleman.
