With reports of more than 5 inches of rain in areas north of the lake since midnight, Lake Brownwood as of noon Monday was over the spillway.

The 11:30 a.m. report from waterdatafortexas.org listed the Lake Brownwood water level at 1,425.24, which is .34 feet above capacity, which is 1,424.9 feet.

The water level is expected to continue to rise due the amount of rain, and the rate it has fallen, since midnight.

The last time Lake Brownwood was over the spillway was three years ago, as the water level peaked at 1,425.93 on Aug. 19, 2021.
