Zephyr 48, Lingleville 16
ZEPHYR – The Class A Division II No. 9 Zephyr Bulldogs remained perfect on the season with a 48-16 homecoming victory over the Lingleville Cardinals Friday night.
Zephyr (4-0) finished with 338 yards of total offense – 295 on the ground and 43 through the air – while allowing 181 yards – 124 passing and 57 rushing – to Lingleville (0-3) with a pair of takeaways.
Chayden Woodcock rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Wyatt Stevens ran for 77 yards and one score and completed 5 of 10 passes for 43 yards and another touchdown. Reese Hamm caught a 12-yard touchdown and rushed for 35 yards, CJ Byers finished with 20 yards rushing and a touchdown to go along with two catches for 11 yards, and Johnny Paul Evans-Rollins rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown, while also returning an interception 26 yards for a score.
Defensively, Woodcock collected a team-high 13 tackles trailed by Evans-Rollins with 11, Corben Gosnell with seven, Byers with six, and Stevens and Hamm with five tackles apiece. Stevens joined Evans-Rollins with an interception as well.
Next week, the Bulldogs host Strawn (2-2), which picked up a 56-27 victory over Bryson Friday night.

Blanket 56, Santa Anna 8 (Thursday)
BLANKET – The Blanket Tigers kept their unblemished record intact with a 56-8 victory over the Santa Anna Mountaineers Thursday night.
Blanket (3-0) amassed 300 total yards – 270 on the ground and 30 through the air.
Kannon Kensing rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns, Cameron Aultman added 72 yards and three rushing scores, and Dallas Shumaker picked up 61 yards on the ground and scored once.
Aultman also hurled a 20-yard touchdown to Kensing, and Shumaker completed a 10-yard pass to Brian Shannon.
Kensing also returned a kick 54 yards for a touchdown.
On defense, the Tigers forced eight turnovers – five fumbles and three inceptions – as Aultman picked off two passes, Shumaker nabbed one, and Abel McLaughlin, Ethan Tomme, Mason Beck, Kade Russell, and Kensing each pounced on a loose ball.
The Santa Anna (2-2) effort was sparked by Jeremiah Davila’s 52-yard touchdown catch from Brandon Brown, and William Perry’s 53-yard rushing performance.
Defensively, Wyatt Strickland recorded a team-high six tackles with two interceptions followed by Jayden Gibson with five tackles and Brown and Aiden Calfa with four apiece.
Next, Blanket hosts Throckmorton (0-3), which had a bye Friday, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, while Santa Anna heads to Priddy (0-3), which fell to Gustine, 59-14, Friday.

Richland Springs 70, Burkeville 7
BURKEVILLE – The Class A Division II No. 2 Richland Springs Coyotes drove 356 miles one way for the second year in a row, and again came away with a lopsided 70-7 victory over Burkeville.
The Coyotes (4-0) generated 227 yards – all on the ground – scored three defensive touchdowns, and also reached the end zone on special teams.
Billy Perry rushed for 104 yards and two scores, while also recording touchdown carries were Cohen Ethridge (47 yards), Rush Norris (26 yards), Gage Behrens (17 yards), and Brice Roesler (1 yard). Ethan Deeds also rushed for 32 yards on his lone carry.
Ethridge ran the lone kick by Burkeville (1-2) back 53 yards for a touchdown, while EJ Aviles scored on interception returns of 19 and 50 yards, and Perry added a 22-yard pick six to cap the scoring.
Next week, Richland Springs hosts Giddings Lonestar Southeast (1-1), which defeated Calvert Friday night.

Sidney 56, Bluff Dale 30
SIDNEY – The Class A Division II No. 6 Sidney Eagles secured their third straight victory and handed the Bluff Dale Bobcats their first loss Friday night, 56-30.
The Eagles (3-1) finished with 338 yards of total offense – 204 rushing and 134 passing – against the Bluff Dale (3-1) defense.
Leading the charge were Lehman Lindeque, who rushed for 88 yards and three touchdowns, passed for 63 yards and two more scores, and caught a team-high four passes for 40 yards. Ethan Scantling added 84 yards and a score on the ground, threw for 71 yards and another touchdown, and grabbed a 2-yard scoring reception.
Other offensive standouts included Dylan Terpstra with two catches for 61 yards and a touchdown and Rees Miller scored on a 19-yard reception.
Defensively, Lindeque recorded 16 tackles, followed by 12 from Scantling, 10 from Terpstra and 10 from Jaylon Salinas, who also recovered two fumbles.
Next week, Sidney visits Class A Division II No. 3 Cherokee (3-0), which had a bye Friday night.

San Saba 60, Waco Reicher 0
WACO – The San Saba Armadillos dominated from start to finish in a 60-0 thrashing of Waco Reicher Friday night.
San Saba (3-1) produced 444 yards of total offense – 380 rushing and 64 passing – against the Reicher (0-4) defense.
Luke Tharp rushed for 126 yards and passed for 60 yards and a 21-yard touchdown to Preston Gray. Alex Estrada chipped in three scores on the ground and 78 yards, Jason Everett ran for 43 yards and a touchdown, Alex Aguirre and Kaylub Roberts both finished with 29 yards rushing and a touchdown, and Graden Lebow tacked on a 13-yard touchdown carry.
Defensively, Everett led the way with 12 tackles followed by eight each from Roberts and Winton Lackey, and seven from Jefferson Stencil. Estrada and Rayland Saucillo both recovered fumbles for the San Saba defense.
Next week, the Armadillos host unbeaten Hamilton (4-0), which knocked off Clifton, 27-7, Friday night.

Mullin 49, Moran 0
MULLIN – The Mullin Bulldogs leveled their record with a 49-0 victory over Moran Friday night, their second shutout of the season.
The Bulldogs (2-2) needed just 221 yards – 174 rushing and 47 passing – to secure the win as Jeremiah Romero rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, Dameon Gonzalez added 59 yards on the ground and scored twice, and Vash Langford finished with 45 yards with a trip to the end zone.
The through the air, Langford completed 6 of 11 passes with a 7-yard touchdown to Romero and a 3-yard scoring toss to Gonzalez.
Defensively for Mullin, Gonzalez recorded 13 tackles, Landen Romero added 11 and Jaiden Langford finished with 10. Vash Langford, who notched seven tackles, and Landen Romero both recovered fumbles.
Next week, Mullin hosts Ranger (1-3), which picked up its first victory over Cranfills Gap, 50-0, Friday night.

Tolar 14, Comanche 7
TOLAR – The Comanche Indians’ two-game win streak was snapped as the Tolar Rattlers notched a third straight win Friday night, 14-7.
Comanche (2-2) was limited to 225 yards of total offense – 181 rushing and 24 passing – by the Tolar (3-1) defense.
Quarterback Cayden Davis rushed for 78 yards and the Indians’ touchdown, while completing 5 of 10 passes for 24 yards with an interception. Ladanian Smith finished with a team-high 91 yards on the ground for Comanche while CT Buford caught a team-high three passes for 12 yards.
Defensively, JJ Davis and Badger Sanchez led the Indians with 10 tackles apiece.
Next week, Comanche plays host to Early (1-3), which suffered a third straight loss, 50-36 to Peaster, Friday night.

Tahoka 56, Cross Plains 13
SNYDER – The Cross Plains Buffaloes were dealt a second straight defeat Friday night, falling in a neutral site contest to Tahoka, 56-13.
Cross Plains (2-2) trailed 6-0 after one quarter but Tahoka (3-1) opened a 35-0 lead by halftime.
The Buffaloes finished with 226 total yards – 144 rushing and 82 passing – but lost five fumbles. Defensively, Cross Plains gave up 419 yards and forced one takeaway.
Kade Purvis completed 9 of 16 passes for 82 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 76 yards and another score for the Buffaloes. Rylen Reed caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown, while Tyler Mackey added three grabs for 34 yards and 23 rushing yards. Kevin Hopkins tacked on 45 rushing yards.
Defensively, Gray Albrecht tallied eight tackles and intercepted a pass while Jessey Bradford registered seven tackles, Purvis finished with six, and Mackey, Colt Sanderson and Bryson Barron notched five apiece. Mackey also recorded a sack.
Next week, Cross Plains hosts Sterling City (2-2), which was blanked by Christoval, 29-0, Friday night.

Cisco 35, Coleman 22
COLEMAN – The Coleman Bluecats were denied victory for a fourth week in a row as the Cisco Loboes ruined homecoming Friday night, 35-22.
The Bluecats (0-4) finished with 297 yards – 244 rushing and 53 passing – with one turnover, while Cisco (3-1) manufactured 433 yards, with 306 coming through the air.
Blaine Bouldin rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown for Coleman, while Brayden Torres tacked on 72 yards and a touchdown and Anthony Espitia added 46 yards and scored once. Through the air, Torres was 7 of 12 for 53 yards with an interception. Kelan Sikes caught two passes for 18 yards, Espitia finished with two for 14, and Braylon Stewart grabbed two receptions for 13 yards.
For Cisco, Julius Proffitt threw touchdown passes of 24, 54 and 12 yards to Laike Kennedy, and 70 yards to Parker Williams, while also scoring on a 1-yard run.
Next week, Coleman heads to Graham for a neutral site contest against Collinsville (4-0), which defeated Wolfe City, 55-42, Friday night.
