The Bulldogs finished with 73 points which trailed on Class 4A Godley with 27, while Williams completed the race in a winning time of 17:34.
Also competing for the Bulldogs were Aaron Fagan (7th, 18.3), Reese Hamm (16th, 19:37), Riley McCuller (20th, 20:03), Slade Butler (29th, 20:51), Cash Whisenhunt (35th, 21:25) and Cooper Walls (22.09).
Goldthwaite came in third with 124 points, led by Jacob Lewis (6th, 18:24), Zachary Rodriguez (13th, 19:15), Isak Ramos (22nd, 20:20), Blake Bristol (41st, 21:58), Tai Gentsch (42nd, 22:03) and Federico Menchaca (23:14).
San Saba was sixth with 166 points with a team of Eric Yanez (5th, 18:24), David Olalde-Yanez (26th, 20:36), Michael Maldonado (40th, 21:55), Damian Vazquez (43rd, 22:05), Isaac Hernandez (52nd, 23:31), and Myles Sanchez (56th, 23:5).
Mullin came in 10th place with 252 points and a roster that featured Dameon Gonzalez (37th, 21:41), Alexander Morales (46th, 22:2), Vash Langford (49th, 23:13), Landen Romero (53rd, 23:34), Jeremiah Romero (67th, 26:33), and Joseph Sanchez (69th, 26:54).
Also competing was Santa Anna, which placed 11th with 263 points, as runners were Ty Bruce (33rd, 21:19), Jayden Gibson (36th, 21:31), Brock Brown (61st, 24:14), Slade Beloat (62nd, 24:15), and Bradlee Peters (71st, 30:52).
In varsity girls action, Goldthwaite earned the team championship with 17 points. Five Lady Eagles placed in the top seven, led by Emily Bartek (1st, 12:31), Payten McGee (2nd, 12:35), Madison Wood (3rd, 13:33), Rylie Hillis (4th, 13:33), Addisyn Howard (7th, 14:03), Jacey Jernigan (19th, 15:07), and Kenley Howard (23rd, 15:15).
San Saba placed fourth with 130 points sparked by Kenlyn Olalde-Yanez (5th, 13:52), Landry Eudy (24th, 15:18), Caitlin Mays (28th, 15:24), Cinzlea Stanton (34th, 15:35), Emily Estrada (39th, 15:49), Kloey Smith (61st, 16:38), and Raylee Wood (68th, 17:16).
The May Lady Tigers placed sixth as a team with 182 points behind Chloe Lord (11th, 14:44), Jordyn Gerhardt (16th, 15:03), Aubree Gerhardt (31st, 15:32), Kenlyn King (48th, 16:12), Summer Hicks (76th, 18.2) and Angie Medina (79th, 18:32).
Early came in ninth as a team with 203 points as competitors were Brooke Miller (13th, 14:55), Adamari Ortega (36th, 15:38), Mikaela Speegle (43rd, 16:03), Kayleigh Torrez (54th, 16:32), Hope Moore (57th, 16:33), Cali Vargas (60th, 16:36), and Syann Jones (65th, 16:49).
Brookesmith was 10th in the team standings with 224 points led by Harley Gilliam (9th, 14:16), Hayden Eisenhauer (25th, 15:19), Ameriah Balleza (50th, 16:17), Brooklyn Haby (67th, 17:1), Chloe Dye (73rd, 17:45), Emma Slayton (80th, 18:32) and Mercedes Rodriguez (83rd, 21:41).
The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs turned in a 13th-place performance with 281 points, which featured Hadley Phillips (35th, 15:38), Kathryn Williams (45th, 16:04), Kristan King (58th, 16:33), Nae’J Payne (71st, 17:27), Rebecca Evetts (72nd, 17:41) and Aliana Lopez (82nd, 21:09).
