Tony Burleson Shook, 61, of Port Lavaca (formerly of Lake Brownwood) passed away at his home on Magnolia Beach, Texas on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
He was born October 2, 1962, in Graham, Texas to Henry Burleson and Patricia Kim. He grew up in Ranger and Eastland, Texas. He graduated from Eastland High School in 1981.
He loved NASCAR, the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys, gambling, fishing, home improvement projects, playing with grandkids, visiting and BBQing with family and friends.
In June of 2002, at his brother’s class reunion, he reconnected with his wife Jennifer Stevens, and they married in June of 2003. He worked in various places after High School.
He left Kohler in Brownwood, Texas in 2022 after 25 years and moved to Magnolia Beach to enjoy the rest of his life in the sunshine, beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and fishing right out of his front door.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, mother Pat Albus (Sam) of Victoria, brother Hank Shook of Dallas, daughter Krystal Stutesman (Roger) of Bloomington, son Cody Shook (Cheryl) of Lexington, Tennessee, stepsons Brandon McMillian (Deborah) of Bangs, Tyler McMillian (Jenny) of San Antonio, Step-daughter Ashlea O’Rear (Corey) of Brenham, grandchildren Caleb, Austin, Connor, Nik, Ariah, Jace, Chris, Chloe, Cooper, Elizabeth, Sam, Oren, Easton, Alannah, and Taylor and extended family including friends. He was preceded in death by his father, step-mother and grandson Colton McMillian.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
