BALLINGER – The Early Lady Horns improved to 3-4 on the volleyball campaign with a 25-23, 25-21, 18-25, 26-24 road victory over Ballinger Tuesday night.
Offensively, Ellie Shea sparked the attack with 14 kills trailed by 11 from Jensyn Rasor, five from Gabby Benson, four each from Karley Smith and Aubrie Devillier, two from Grey Pruett and one from Cassidy Frerichs.
Pruett dished out 23 assists followed by Frerichs with 13 and Piper Pedersen with one.
Shea also served four aces, Frerichs contributed a pair, and Pruett, Smith and Benson finished with one each.
Defensively, Benson notched 21 digs trailed by Devillier with 15, Smith with nine, Pruett and Frerichs with seven each, and Rasor and Hallie Thornberry with three apiece.
Shea also logged four blocks while Pruett, Pedersen, and Devillier were each credited with one.
The Lady Horns (3-4) will play in the Heart of Texas Tournament at Howard Payne and Brownwood over the weekend, and their first game will be a rematch of the season-opener, a five-set setback against the Lady Lions.
