The Early Police Department posted the following information on Facebook Friday afternoon:
The Early Police Department has had the honor of hosting an Active Attack Integrated Response (AAIR) Train-the-Trainer Course this week. This program is delivered through the ALERRT Center at Texas State University in San Marcos.
The FBI has named them the National Standard in Active Shooter Response Training. AAIR is designed to improve integration between law enforcement, fire, telecommunicators, and emergency medical services (EMS) in an active attack/shooter event.
This training provides key medical skills to increase victims’ survivability, improve first responders’ safety and survivability, and help integrate all first response teams. This training comes at no cost to first responders and agencies thanks to ALERRT’s federal and state funding. ALERRT offers many different courses for first responders.
The Early Police Department is currently booking two classes for next year. We look forward to hosting this great program again.
