In an effort to encourage children to read, the Brownwood Library invited Magician Bronson Chadwick to perform a magic show as part of the Summer Reading Club activities.
Children, who are entering Kindergarten and older elementary grades, watched as Chadwick did tricks with coffee cans, colored handkerchiefs, and a Rubik’s cube.
Chadwick selected a volunteer to participate in a trick, and kids were amazed as the polka dots on the coffee can appeared on the colored handkerchiefs.
Though this was an event for entertainment, Chadwick appealed to the crowd with jokes for the parents and a lesson on patience as children may struggle to enjoy reading.
