Lynn Edward Brown

Lynn (Pop) Edward Brown, 85, of Tye, Texas passed away on July 19, 2024, in his home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00, Tuesday July 23rd, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman, Texas with Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, officiating the service. There will be a burial following the service at Valera Cemetery in Coleman County. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

Lynn was born in Coleman County to Raymond Brown and Kate Mulanax Brown on May 27, 1939. He went to school at Valera. He married Sandra Brown on January 26, 1962, in Coleman at the Concho Baptist Church. He worked at Automation, Rockwell, and retired from Lockheed after working with them for almost 30 years. He was an avid Motorcyclist and was a member of the Abilene Road Riders Club. He also enjoyed RVing, puzzles and spending time with his family. Lynn was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a dedicated supporter of all his children and grandchildren’s activities.

Lynn was preceded in death by Raymond Brown and Kate Mulanax Brown (Parents), Davy Lee Brown (Brother), Weldon Brown (Brother), Winfred Brown (Brother).

Lynn is survived by His Wife: Sandra Brown, Children (3): Jeff Brown, Kirk Brown (Misty), Jamie Arrington (Shane). Grandchildren (7): Kody Brown (Morgan), Zane Vinson (Heather), Brennen Brown, Braden Brown (Cali), Hailey Linn (Jake), Megan Dowden (Sterling) and Ethan Arrington. Great-Grandchildren (11): Kameron, Azar, Harper and Hadley Brown (Kody), Zane, Harper and Oak Vinson (Zane), Tripp Brown (Brennen), Bray, Callen, and Jude Brown (Braden), Parker Linn (Hailey).

Pallbearers will be the Grandsons of Lynn and Sandra: Brennen Brown, Ethan Arrington, Jake Linn, Kody Brown, Sterling Dowden, Zane Vinson.

Memorials may be given to West Texas Rehab: Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605.
