The Brownwood Fire Department issued the following press release Tuesday morning:
At 3:41 a.m. Tuesday, the Brownwood Fire Department responded to a call of an RV on fire in the 3500 block of 2nd Street.
Upon arrival, crews were presented with a large amount of fire coming from the RV/Camper. Crews were able to control the fire quickly. The RV/Camper was a complete loss. The fire was unintentional in nature and was caused by an electrical short in the electrical wiring. Estimated damage is $10,000. The main residence sustained minor fire and smoke damage. No occupants or fire personnel suffered any injuries.
It took crews 6 minutes to get the fire under control and the department was on scene for 1 hour and 27 minutes.
Chief 9, Chief 93, Chief 92, Rescue 9, Truck 9, and Engine 92 responded from Brownwood, with assists from the Brownwood Police Department and Lifeguard Ambulance.
