SALSA, the Strategic Alliance for Leadership and Social Action, a 501 C (3) tax exempt non-profit organization, is continuing its fundraising for scholarships to be awarded to students from Brownwood and the surrounding area.
SALSA has awarded over $50,000 in scholarships, the first of which were awarded to seven students on May 5, 2021. The first to graduate and immediately enroll in graduate school at Texas A&M was Brandon “Hunter” Day, second from left.
SALSA recently received a donation from Performance Pipe, pictured here. Performance Pipe is the latest to join a growing list of major donors including 3M, Diamond P, Roberson Rent All, Natalia Lopez, and Dr. Juan Andrade. Others wish to remain anonymous.

Graduates from Early were Alexa Hernandez Acevedo–Texas Christian University, Dalton Ray Adams-University of Mary-Hardin Baylor, Memorie Castro–Stephen F. Austin University, Blyth Presley Marie Dunlap–Tarleton State University, Attisyn Estess-University of Texas Austin, Aubrey Greaves–Texas Tech University, Kaleb Ozuna–Tarleton State University, Kailey Patterson–Angelo State University, and William Prochaska–Texas A&M University.
Graduates from Brownwood were Emma Delgado–Dallas Baptist College, Mia Diaz–Howard Payne University, Allison Godinho–Texas State University, Molly Oliver–University of Mary-Hardin Baylor, Leila Rivera–Austin College, Marisol Rodriguez–Tarleton State University, and Justin Valdez–Texas Tech University.
