The “Summer Reading Club” at the Brownwood Community Library is back this year and begins soon. Sign-ups begin on Friday, May 31, and children will receive rewards for the amount of reading they complete in June and July. In addition to reading, there will be special programs for the young readers each week. Here is the schedule for programs already scheduled:
June 6: Abilene Zoo
June 13: Botanical Gardens
June 20: Heart of Texas Nature Center
June 27: Brownwood Fire Department
July 18: San Angelo Symphony
July 23: Magic Show with Magician Bronson Chadwick
Programs for July 2 and July 11 are pending. The programs will be held at 10:00 a.m. for children entering Kindergarten and younger. For children entering 1st grade and older the programs will begin at 11:00 a.m.
