Following the latest round of rain throughout the area this week, Lake Brownwood’s water level has risen to 4.02 feet below the spillway as of 10:30 a.m. Friday, which is 80.3 percent capacity.
The lake’s water level stands at 1,420.88 feet heading into Memorial Day weekend, the highest since it was 1,420.9 feet on June 10, 2022.
Over the past 21 days – since Friday, May 3 – the lake’s water level has increased 5.27 feet up from 1,415.61, which was 58.7 percent capacity at the time.
The next significant opportunities for rain currently in the forecast are Tuesday through Friday, with around a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms each day.
