Following Thursday’s rain, Lake Brownwood’s latest water level rise peaked at 4.59 feet below the spillway at 11:30 a.m. Friday, which is 77.7 percent capacity. As of 12:30 p.m. Friday, the level had dropped one-hundredth of a foot to 4.6 below the spillway.
The lake’s water level late this morning stood at 1,420.3 feet, the most since it was 1,420.31 feet on June 25, 2022.
Over the past 14 days – since Friday, May 3 – the lake’s water level has increased 4.7 feet up from 1,415.61, which was 58.7 percent capacity at the time.
The next significant opportunity for rain in the forecast is Wednesday and Thursday, with a 50 percent chance each day.
