DENTON – The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs finished fourth in the Region III-A team standings and earned three state berths, while the Zephyr Bulldogs came in 15th as as a team at the regional meet, which concluded Monday at the University of North Texas.
Advancing to state for Zephyr will be Haley Eason, who was first in the girls triple jump (34-9) and second in the girls long jump (16-8), and Ronni McClain, who won the girls pole vault (10-0).
The UIL Class A Track and Field State Championships will take place Saturday, May 4 at Austin’s Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas.
The Lady Bulldogs generated 38 points as a team which left them behind only Gordon (91), Throckmorton (64) and Blum (50).
