Bobbie Jean Roberts, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 31, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on April 4, 1942, in Tolleson, Arizona, to the late Willie Edgar Stanford and Maggie Mae Taylor Stanford.
Bobbie led a fulfilling life dedicated to her family and work. She began her career at USAA before transitioning to the University of Texas San Antonio Campus where she served as an administrative assistant at the Dean’s office for over 34 years. Bobbie’s dedication and hard work left a lasting impact on all those she encountered.
Described as someone who loved her family immensely, Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of love and care. She is survived by her loving husband, William Allen Roberts of San Antonio; her cherished children, Allen Roberts and Barbara Roberts, both of San Antonio; her grandchildren John William Roberts and his wife Lyndsey Kay, and Charlie Roberts; as well as her great-grandchildren Wyatt Lane Roberts and Levi Gentry Roberts.
In addition to her immediate family, Bobbie is also survived by her sisters-in-law Mary Graham and Mary Roberts. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie Jean Roberts touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service celebrating her life at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. A private interment will be in the Valera Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home. Viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home.
