BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons remained in firm control of the District 6-2A softball race with a 14-3 home victory over Coleman Tuesday.
The Lady Dragons (13-8, 5-0) scored five runs in the first inning, led 11-1 after two frames and tacked on three final runs in the fourth inning.
Bangs tallied 12 hits with eight going for extra bases. Jordan Valdez finished with a home run, single and three RBIs; Julianna Ethridge homered, tripled and knocked in a pair; Neeley Bradley, Abby Wolf and Mattisyn Taylor each doubled, singled and knocked in a run; Cheyenne Rush also doubled and singled; and Jadyn Miller and Emily Baker recorded an RBI apiece.
In the circle, Wolf pitched all five innings and gave up one earned run on eight hits with four strikeouts.

Bangs Dragons 9, Hamilton 1
HAMILTON – The Bangs Dragons improved to 9-7 on the season and 2-1 in District 7-2A baseball action with a 9-1 road win over Hamilton Tuesday night.
The Dragons grabbed a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, added two more runs in the fifth and scored their final four runs in the seventh inning.
Bangs’ 11 hits included three and a pair of RBIs from Skylar Minshew; two hits and an RBI from Hunter Crowell; a pair of hits from Kenny Cole; one hit and one RBI each from Kade Minshew and Zack Ferguson; and one hit apiece from Conner Bible and Hunter Newton.
On the mound, Cole went the distance and allowed one run on four hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks.

Comanche 17, Early Lady Horn 5
EARLY – The Early Lady Horns slipped to 5-15 on the season and 2-5 against District 8-3A foes with a 17-5 home loss to Comanche Tuesday.
Early trailed 2-1 after one inning, 8-1 after two, 11-1 after three, 14-5 after five, and the game ended after six frames.
The Lady Horns recorded nine hits – a two-run home run by Aubrey Greaves; two singles and an RBI from Marissa Reedy; one hit and one RBI apiece from Jamie Vassar and Emilee Wallace; along with a double from Stoney Laughlin and singles from Gabby Leal, Sydney Greaves and Rylee Tupin.
In the circle, the Early pitchers gave up 15 earned runs on 11 hits with two strikeouts and seven walks. The Lady Horn defense committed one error.

Comanche 6, Early Longhorns 3
EARLY – The Early Longhorns are still in search of their first District 8-3A baseball victory following Tuesday night’s 6-3 home loss to Comanche.
Tied at 1 after four innings, the Longhorns (3-13-1, 0-5) fell victim to a five-run top of the fifth by Comanche. Early answered with single runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth, but no more.
Notching the three hits for Early were Kamden Gamblin with two singles and an RBI, and Ethan Pallette with a single.
On the mound, Gamblin and Landen Brandstetter gave up just two earned runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and seven walks, while the Early defense was charged with five errors.
