Stephen Michael Westerman, 51 of Brownwood passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024 in his home in Brownwood.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday March 28th at Brownwood Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held Friday March 29th at 12:00 noon at Jordan Springs Cemetery with Billy Slaymaker officiating.
Stephen Westerman was born in Brownwood to Tinia Powers and Elmore Westerman on March 9,1973. He attended school in Brownwood in his early years and transferred to Decatur where he completed his schooling. He enjoyed art, drawing and playing musical instruments with the guitar being his favorite. He found happiness in his grandchildren calling him “Pop Rock”.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father Franklin Elmore Westerman.
He is survived by 3 sons, Joshua Westerman (wife Hannah) of Brownwood, EJ Davila (wife Presley) of Gatesville, Michael Westerman (wife Amelia) of Brownwood and 1 daughter Heaven Westerman of Brownwood, 1 brother Marty Cunningham and 2 sisters, Kimberly Westerman and Lacey Westerman, as well as a step brother Billy R Powers, Parent Tinia Powers (husband Billy Powers) 12 Grandchildren, Eden, Alec, Ava, Finn, Hera, Brystal, Ellie, Cooper, Conner, Lucas, Bryson, and Pasleigh.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Tamera Belveal (sister as Stephen called her) who cared for him until the end. A special thank you to Dr. Childers of Accel Health, Dr. Byrd and all the wonderful Solaris Hospice nurses/staff/social workers for their care and support of Stephen and the family.
