STEPHENVILLE – The Brownwood Lady Lions placed second as a team, while the Brownwood Lions came in fourth in the final standings, at the Tarleton Relays Thursday.
The Lady Lions finished with 101.5 points, behind only Stephenville (126), while the Lions generated 61 points, which trailed Brock (151), Cleburne (137), Stephenville (92).
The Brownwood girls brought home eight medals – four gold, three silver and one bronze.
Winning their events were the 4×100 relay of Icess Hall, Kaya Phillips, Kate Tindol and Aniah Hines (50.67); the 4×400 relay of Tindol, Phillips, Sidney Windham and Braycee Lee (4:05.92); and Windham in the 800 meters (2:22.09) and 1600 meters (5:27.87).
Coming in second were Phillips in the 100 meters (13.1); Tindol in the 200 meters (26.78); and Jaslin Jones in the discus (99-1).
Placing third was Lee in the 400 meters (1:02.46).
Fifth-place efforts belonged Lyndi Biasiolli in the 3200 meters (13:13.92) and the 1600 meters (5:49.39); Talia Clifton in the 100-meter hurdles (17.83); and Aubrie Felux in the high jump (5-0).
Finish sixth overall were Talia Craff in the 3200 meters (13:36.52); Hines in the 100 meters (13.55); and the 4×200 relay of Hall, Miranda Northcutt, Clifton and Hines (1:56.37).
The Brownwood boys collected five medals – one gold, two silver and a pair of bronze.
Ike Hall captured the long jump (22-0) championship, while runners-up were Morsello Hooker in the long jump (20-11) and the 4×100 relay of Hall, Raven Prado, Caven Webster and Trey Mosley (44.77)
Coming in third were the 4×200 relay of Prado, Hall, Hooker and Kenyan McDowell (1:35.57), along with Grant Gray in the 400 meters (53.55).
Placing fifth were Sam Kallman in the discus (126-8) and the 4×400 relay of Prado, Gray, Ross Strasner and McDowell (3:42.24).
Sixth-place performances Hayden Noe in the 110-meter hurdles (16.97), Trae Jones in the 300-meter hurdles (45.79), and Weston Wolf in the discus (119-3).
The Lions and Lady Lions will be back in action Friday, March 8 at the Abilene Big Country Relays.
