ABILENE – Following their 5-4 win over Early Saturday morning, the Brownwood Lady Lions dropped their last two games at the Abilene Icebreaker Tournament to Breckenridge and Snyder.
In the 16-0 loss to Breckenridge, Brownwood mustered just one hit – a single by Lila Mares – and drew four walks – two by Carlee Burks and one each by Jeniffer Romero and Karina Mata.
Tynlea Wilson allowed 13 earned runs on 15 hits with two strikeouts and a pair of walks in the circle, while the Lady Lion defense committed four errors behind her.
In a 9-0 defeat against Snyder, the Lady Lions produced a pair of hits – one each by Mares and Maitlyn Esquivel – and Peek drew a week.
In the circle, Wilson gave up seven earned runs on 10 hits with three walks and no strikeouts over five innings. The Brownwood defense committed one error.
The Lady Lions (2-4) are back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at San Angelo Central.
