EARLY – After splitting their first two games Friday, the Early Longhorns drew with Tolar Friday in a 4-4 tie that ended due to a two-hour time limit.
Trailing 3-0 after one inning, Early cut the deficit to 3-2 in the bottom of the third. Tolar pushed the advantage to 4-2 in the top of the sixth, but the Longhorns responded to two runs in their final at-bat to create the deadlock.
Early recorded nine hits – two each by Jordan Campos and Rohyn Price with one apiece from Ethan Pallette, Kamden Gamblin, Landen Brandstetter, Brayden Moya and Rowan McDermed. Price, Gamblin and Brandstetter collected RBIs.
On the mound, Pallette worked all six innings and yielded two earned runs on four hits with 11 strikeouts and three walks.
The Longhorns (1-1-1) will conclude tournament action against Miles at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
