Lois Watkins, 100 years old from Brownwood, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024. She was excited to have a 100th birthday celebration with about 60 friends and family at Common Grounds Coffee House in November.
Lois loved people and never met a stranger. She loved dancing, games with friends and bingo twice a week at the Vicksburg where she lived. She loved the Lord and faith was always an important part of her life.
She leaves a legacy of faith in her two sons, Jack Jones and wife Gloria of Lebanon, Oregon, Mike Jones and wife Jayne of Brownwood, Texas. She had five grandchildren and their spouses, Jason Jones and wife Amber of San Angelo, Texas, Jennifer Cradduck and husband Hugh of Oxford, Ohio, Jonathan Jones and wife Bridget of Brownwood, Texas, Daniel Jones and wife Amy of Lebanon, Oregon, and Nathan Jones and wife Alissa of Montana. She also leaves behind thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren that she loved so much. Lois had a great healthy life and enjoyed it to the very end.
The family would like to thank the Vicksburg for their care over the last 3-1/2 years and CMS Kinder Hearts Hospice, especially Lainey Hall for her care in her final days.
