Kayli DeVusser shot her qualifying round of sporting clays Saturday afternoon at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo shoot. Of 93 senior lady shooters, Kayli took first place and earned a spot in the finals with a 94/100.
HLSR Shoot then only takes the top 10 shooters of each division (there are 4 divisions; senior boy, senior girl, junior boy & junior girl) to finals. This took the number of total shooting athletes from 539 down to 46. (All ties for the 10th place spots go to finals.)
Targets in the final round were set very technical, and the 20 mph winds did not make matters any easier. It was a tight race, with only 1 target splitting 1st and 2nd place, but it was Kayli to earn the Grand Champion banner.
Please keep Kayli and her Brown Co. teammates in your thoughts as they head to the San Antonio Stock Show Shoot this week. They will be competing against 1173 other shooters.
