Beginning Wednesday, February 7, 2024, TxDOT’s contractor will start paving efforts at the intersection of FM 2524 and US 377 in Brownwood. Completion of this work is anticipated by Monday, February 12, 2024, weather permitting.

Crews will begin work at 9 AM and end approximately 5 PM. Various daily lane closures will occur. TxDOT recommends motorists avoid the intersection entirely, if possible, to avoid delays while this work is being completed. In order to slow and better control traffic for safety reasons, the intersection will be set to a four way stop with flashing red signals. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the intersection.

When driving in the work zone, motorists are reminded to slow their speed, avoid distractions and to watch for flaggers, other crews, and equipment.
