MAY – The May Tigers secured a crucial 80-78 overtime victory over District 13-A front-runner and 14th-ranked Eula Tuesday night.
May (19-8, 6-2) led 18-17 after one quarter, 39-27 at halftime, and 56-43 heading into the fourth period, where Eula rallied to tie the game at 68 at the end of regulation.
Zack Martin led the charge for the Tigers with 34 points trailed by Ben Harell with 28, Mikey Scheriger with 10, and Brody Stice and Jackson Lusk with four points apiece.
The Tigers visit Rising Star at Friday.

Comanche 38, Early Longhorns 35
COMANCHE – The Early Longhorns fell to 5-7 in District 8-3A action and 14-12 overall with a 38-35 road loss to Comanche.
Comanche (15-13, 6-6) sits in fourth place in the District 8-3A standings with two games left while Early dropped to fifth place. The Indians own the tiebreaker over the Longhorns for the league’s final playoff spot due to winning both 8-3A contests this season.
In Tuesday’s loss, the Longhorns led 9-8 after one quarter, trailed 16-13 at halftime and faced a 29-22 deficit heading into the fourth period.
Kamden Gamblin scored 11 points for Early followed by Rohyn Price with nine, Andrew Caten with six, Alex Perez with five, and Dalton Adams with four points.
The Longhorns head to Eastland Friday.

No. 4 Eula 62, May Lady Tigers 16
MAY – The playoff-bound May Lady Tigers concluded regular season action with their second loss to District 13-A champion and fourth-ranked Eula, 62-16, Tuesday night.
The Lady Tigers trailed 16-2 after one quarter, 29-3 at halftime, and 48-11 through three periods.
May received nine points from Jordyn Gerhardt, three each from Kenleigh Williford and Mia Musick, and one point from Chloe Lord.
The Lady Tigers open postseason play next week.

Comanche 85, Early Lady Horns 38
COMANCHE – The Early Lady Horns wrapped up their basketball season with an 85-38 loss to District 8-3A rival Comanche Tuesday night.
Early (12-20, 4-10) trailed 26-15 after one quarter, 50-23 at halftime, and 71-23 heading into the fourth period.
Dakota Barksdale scored 13 points for the Lady Horns followed by Jenna Hataway with eight, Jamie Vasser with seven, Lindsey Bastardo with six, Gabby Benson with three, and Cali Vargas with one point.
